A quick introduction to Taylor Fowler
I’m Taylor Fowler.
I’ve been passionately writing stories since I was a kid.
It started with journaling my day-to-day happenings in a purple and green notebook. I wrote about the games I played with Grandma before devouring a slice of her homemade (boxed) fudge-iced yellow cake. I wrote what the Aspinwall girls said that day. I wrote about my beloved Shetland Sheepdog, Crystal.
As I grew, my writing grew with me.
I continued to journal private thoughts on home life, friendships, and relationships. I filled my high school schedule with creative nonfiction and English electives and spent my teenage years bringing those stories to life for my peers.
I used writing as an outlet. Then I pursued writing as a career. In college, I acquired leadership roles with my university publications as Features Editor of the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown’s The Advocate and as Campus Culture Editor for Penn State University’s Valley Magazine. I honed a journalism and public relations degree and followed a winding, creative professional career doing both. I’m a contributing journalist to numerous publications including the Pittsburgh Independent, Very Local Pittsburgh, and Visit Pittsburgh.
I want to write about people, places, and experiences that mattered.
Telling your stories—still writing my own.
